I have low-qual cervical mucus and also need to take progesterone to get (and stay) pregnant up until 14 weeks.
We are trying to have another baby. I just delivered on March 29, but since then, I've only had two periods, and by that schedule, I ovulated on day 31. I usually ovulate late, but more like day 20 (before the pregnancy).
So I'm trying to get my cycle back on track. I am taking 1500 mg of EPO from period to ovulation, and once we actually start trying, I'll be taking progesterone from ovulation until day 14 (and beyond, if we conceive). This worked like a charm for DD.
However, anyone had any luck using herbal remedies to get your period more regular? I'm not sure if I am still just getting back on track or if the pregnancy has totally thrown me out of whack, but I know an egg ovulated on day 31 won't be much good. How to get my ovulation back on track?
Re: Herbs for menstruation?
I'm personally not a fan of treating medical conditions with herbs, however I know others may feel differently and have better suggestions for you. FWIW, I looked at "Fertile Aid" supplements last week on Amazon and while I personally won't try it, I did see a lot of reviewers seem to say it regulated their periods, yet a few others said it made their regular cycles irregular. Talking to an MD would be my best advice for regulating a period.
As for improving CM, some people swear that drinking Green Tea CD1-O can improve EWCM, but I personally think its attributed to increased fluid intake. So I'd say drink lots of water, or green tea if you prefer, and you may see improvement. I have been downing 128oz of water every day and have seen significant improvement in CM.
If you don't already track your temps on a chart, I highly suggest fertility friend. Forgive me if you already do this, I just didn't see a ticker or link in your siggy. If you haven't already signed up, you can do so by clicking on my FF link in my siggy (it's free!) For some women, they find out they O at a totally different time than they once thought after temping. Hope this helps! Good luck.
