Spanish Music Movement Classes

Teaching your child a second language is so important these days! Studies have proven that children that speak more than one language achieve greater divergent thinking, creativity, and cognitive development compared to monolingual children. A number of studies have also shown that when students learn an additional language they have a tendency of outscoring those who are proficient in only a single language on tests of nonverbal and verbal intelligence.

Spanish Music Movement? will be offered to youngsters from 0 mos. to 6 years of age during 10 week, 1 hour, sessions. Our program includes a CD* to take home, games, songs, puppets, instruments and arts in crafts, all while learning Spanish. Classes are broken down into Baby Movers? (0-2 years-old) and Toddler & Preschool Movers? (3 ? 6 years-old) and Fiesta for All (0 mos. to 6 yrs old).

Classes are offered all over Connecticut and Manhattan in libraries, day cares, preschools and elementary schools, group parent/child classes (in homes or at local businesses) and birthday parties at private locations. If you have an organization that would be interested in having us volunteer classes for underprivileged children please contact us.

Ingrid Prueher, founder of Spanish Music Movement?, was born in Guatemala and brings her 35 years of Hispanic/Spanish heritage to her classes. Ingrid also has 10 years of formal dance training, seven years of singing training, fifteen years of babysitting experience and most importantly, almost four years of parental experience.
