Questions Regarding Childcare

So I have have been a SAHM for almost a year now, but we have decided that I am going to go back to work.  So we are looking into different options of childcare, I have a few places lined up but I was thinking about questions and wondering if there was anything I was leaving out.  What were some of your questions when interviewing childcare places? TIA

Find out if they are open on snow days.

Hey H, nice to see you around!

I'd find out what their vacation/time off policy is, what days they are closed, etc.

Check out what sort of curriculum they follow with the kids and the schedule they follow during the day.

I'd be interested in the turnover rate of teachers and how it's handled, it can be high in some places.

All the above questions, plus when are meals provided/ what do they do if child doesn't like the meal

What is their incident reporting to parents policy for things like injuries, noticing possible illness, etc.

If LO is ready for potty-training, what's their philosophy

If it's a home daycare:

Are there any pets in the house and do they interact with the kids?

Are there any firearms in the house and how/where are they locked up?

(My first daycare I was surprised to meet her husband and son walking across the yard with their guns to go hunting.  Everything was locked up well, but it just wasn't something I even thought to ask.)
