Neither. But I will go with Brooke since I don't have a choice other wise (Don't hate it, just prefer something less blah)
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I don't really like Astrid, but yes, The Office did make it that much worse by calling it Assturd. And later Jan calls her Assy once as a nickname and for me that just isn't a serious name anymore. Brooke 100%.
I used to really like Astrid, but the more I say it, the more I think it is very harsh sounding. I think Brooke Margot sounds better--though to be honest, Margot is my favorite name of the group.
I like Astrid, and it sounds better with Margot. However, I am also into the origins and meanings of names...Astrid originates from an old Norse name derived from the words meaning "god" and "beautiful." Brooke originates from an English surname denoting "one who lives near a brook."
Re: Brooke or Astrid?
Hmm. I like both of these.
I think Brooke Margot flows better, but both are really good choices.
Brooke! So pretty!
Astrid makes me think of The Office where Michael keeps calling her "as-TURD"
lol

Or worse: "ass-turd."
This. Brooke is a bit of a redneck name where I live, but I like it batter than Astrid.
Thanks!
I've considered this, but we don't really plan on calling her her FN-MN really. So, it's more of a honor thing. And it would be Brooke M. Lastname.
Wow! This is like the fastest I've ever had any responses to any of my post on TK, TN, TB, ever. (then again I don't post that often)
Thanks for the input. It's funny the things that conjur up memories for ppl. I've never seen that ep of The Office. Going to try to youtube it.
Hope you're not in Florida! ha!

THIS! It absolutely ruined the name for me. However, I still think it's very pretty.
100% agree
I don't see the appeal of Astrid, at all.
Brooke Margot is nms but nice.
hahahaha! This was my exact thought! Please, please choose Brooke.
YES! And then when Michael meets up with Jan years afterward and Jan calls her "Assie"
I liked the name until then.

My Married Bio
I like both, but prefer Astrid.
I suppose Brooke is less likely to get made fun of, but it seems to be having a resurgence lately. I like that Astrid is (considerably) less popular.
This. Exactly.
