i know that might seem like a silly question, but despite all that happened i feel physically fine- well relatively at least. i m/c at 6 weeks on saturday and most of the bleeding has slowed. i was really uncomfortable on saturday, had heaving bleeding with large clots, but now i have relatively no cramping. my mom keeps pushing me to go to the dr. DH and i personally believe in more natural approach to family planning as well as our health care and prefer not to take medication unless it is the only option. i dont feel that i need to see a dr since most of the bleeding has stopped. i really don't want to have to go through a d&c if it's not necessary, but i honestly don't know what the protocol is here.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
Since I'm pretty well-versed in miscarrying (5 natural losses), I might consider not going in except for the fact that I am RH negative and have to get the Rhogam shot within 72 hours of miscarriage. I understand wanting to avoid medical intervention, but you should at least make your Dr. aware of what is going on.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I would go. I understand the natural approach. I recently m/c but all they did was a blood test to check my hcg levels (and make sure they were going down), and a ultrasound to make sure everything was gone. Nothing invasive, just enough to make sure I wouldnt have any problems later. I know its a pain to have to go to the doctor and sit thru tests after this ordeal, but its worth it.
Im also RH- and had to get a shot afterwards. So I didnt have a choice but to go.
I would wait it out. I am also a proponent of the natural way of doing things, and I don't think you are putting yourself in danger by doing so. When I had my miscarriage my family was pushing me to do a D&C. My dad is a nurse so he was having his coworker friends tell me that it was the best way to go, but I was afraid of scar tissue so I opted out of it. I ended up taking misoprostol to speed things up, so I didn't do it all natural, but I had circumstances that didn't enable me to wait it out like I was hoping.
BUT if your bleeding comes back with a vengeance and bad cramping or you have signs of infection I would see your doctor.
