empty fortune cookie

Tonight we had Chinese take-out and after dinner I gave one cookie to DS and kept the other for my bump baby. DS's was some silly thing about politics, but when I opened the baby-to-be's cookie there was no paper fortune!  Of course I know they're just for fun but it kinda made me sad since I am dealing with a subchorionic hemorrhage and have been told I am at risk for m/c if my bleed grows.  :(  I know it's silly, but anyway, has anyone else had an empty fortune cookie and is happy and healthy?

    awwww... I have had a cookie (I just call it a cookie if there is no fortune in it) without a fortune too.  I'm still alive and well.  :)  Your baby doesn't get a fortune yet because the cosmic world can't deliver the fortune through your body or uterus.  ;)  Your baby will have to wait like the rest of us to hear our fortune.

    Yep it has happened to me too! I'm sure these things are machine run and thus they will miss cookies every now and then. Please don't let this stress you out as you said they are silly and don't mean anything in the grand scheme.

    I've gotten plenty of empty ones too, it's easy to read into things... if you did get a fortune in your cookie I'm sure it would be easy to take the fortune to mean something negative about your pregnancy too.

    don't feel too bad, we had chinese tonight and as a tradition we always add "in bed" to the end of our fortunes....well my husbands said "investigate new possibilities with friends" "in bed" now he says jokingly that the chinese people gave him permission!

    Empty fortune cookies are a sign of extreme good luck to the Chinese. It means, you are already so lucky that you are not in need of fortune! It's a good thing!!!
