What are you excited about for fall this year?

Are you doing skinnies this year or switching to flares? I wll probably still wear skinnies but am looking for a rocking pair of dark wash flares. I am going to look for a cute tailored tuxedo style jacket too. Sooo what's going to be big for fall '11??

SO EXCITED FOR FALL.

I have a pair of flares I bought last year, that I adore.  

I'll still wear skinny jeans a lot, especially with boots b/c I love boots.

I read that wearing red/pink together will be big, which sounds kind of cool to me.  Also, colors like mustard yellow, purples, and blues.

oh and capes.

I'll be wearing a lot of leggings with tunics/tunic sweaters and flat boots with knee socks over the leggings.  Sort of like this...

I love this look, I have been waiting for knee socks to make a comeback!! I love boots too! That is the best part of skinnies IMO is that they show off great shoes. I love flares but I hate having cute shoes covered up. I am not sure about capes, we'll have to see, I did read in elle that they were in.

yeah, I'm not sure about capes either.  My boobs are rather large and I worry I'd just look like a big, fat boob in them.

Plus I get hot kind of easily and I think they'd get hot quickly.  I mean, when I'm wrestling the demons in and out of the car, I start sweating. I can only imagine a cape would make that worse, lol

Stacked heels was the other thing I really liked - I love these shoes:

but, not exactly practical for being a SAHM...

I LOVE winter/fall clothes.

 Finally done ballooning with babies, so I'm allowing myself to buy a few things.   I haven't bought myself nice shoes in ages, mainly stuck with things I didn't mind splashing with BM from the pump.  Recently ordered my first hot boots in about 8 years (bought some comfy Uggs a couple of years ago, but I don't consider them to be "hot").

I finally got into the whole skinny jean thing last spring before I got pregnant, as it was the first time during the trend I was thin enough to even think about it.  Looking forward to pairing with these babies:

 

I am really loving the ruffle trend too, but again, I wasn't really able to pull it off until now.  I wore a pair of skinny jeans yesterday, with an amethyst ruffle top and teeny bright pink cardigan and my sister (who is super critical) was like, "Wow!"  YEAH!  I'm so done being frumpy, pregnant mom. 

Unfort, my hair is growing back so I have the super stiff unintentional 1-inch bangs right now ;o(

Aggie, my baby hairs are DRIVING ME NUTS and Scarlett is almost 1!  Plus mine are like wispy and curly - it's like I have this weird halo around my face.

I really need a haircut though - my hair is getting really long, which I want, but it needs a better shape.  

The other good thing for moms (IMO) is that there are lot of adorable flat options for shoes right now.  I bought two pairs of really cute flats during the nordstrom anniversary sale and  feel like wearing them will dress up some of my more casual tops w/ skinny jeans. 

ETA: those boots are hot!  I am a boot whore.  For real.  I want like 5 pairs this fall!

All the shoes I have found that I like just have way to high of a heel. so I have a feeling i'll be stocking up in cute flats again this year.

I'm so excited for fall!!  Like Aggie, last spring was the first time I was skinny enough (since I started having kids) to rock the skinny jeans...so I'm fighting my way back to that weight now, I loved them!  And Kap, I have a pair of flat brown boots like that from Nine West, they are seriously very similar and were about $90 a few years ago.  Otherwise I'm stocking up on cute flats, heels are just so impractical with the kids  

And these are not very fashionable, but I want a new pair of Merrell flats like these for my very dressed-down days, with jeans and a cute jacket and scarf.

I love all the boots posted in here! I really really want cognac flat boots like Kap posted and I need some dressier black boots (my old ones from last winter are totally worn out.) I am also getting these really pretty muted silvery/nude flats with an embellished toe from macys, their site won't let me pip.

My mom is buying me these for my birthday (assuming a certain store can get them):

They are the Frye Paiges and she gets a 30-40% discount at a store that carries Fryes.  She's going to double check on being able to get the specific pair, and if not, I'm probably going to look at the Veronicas (ones Kap posted) and a few other Fryes.

Believe me, I'd much prefer wispy to my super dark crazy stiff baby hair!  It comes out like a man's stubble.  My hair stylist recommended Vitamin E, so I hope it will help.

I really love boots too.  The high ones make me feel sexy, more than any other shoe type.  H agrees, which is why he was totally OK with my ordering these!
