Today my dad met Brendan for the first time! (PIP)

ETA: I figured I should post some of the links for the story about what happened to my dad right before Brendan was born >.>

My dad got home at 1pm today after a long 4 hour ride in an ambulance from the hospital he's been in for nearly 10 weeks. He's a little fuzzy on names, and kept calling me by my sister's or mother's name, but he knew who I was... and boy was he happy to meet his grandson! He held him for hours, and the two actually napped together happily for quite some time this afternoon. I unfortunately was only able to get one photo before my phone died, but don't worry, I will get PLENTY when I see him again on Sunday!

Don't mind the doo-rag, my dad claims he is wearing it to hide his frankenstein scars, but I think he just likes it, that would be the biker in him :) He kept trying to convince me to take him for a ride on his harley all afternoon, but I had to remind him that he isn't quite well enough for that yet :(

  • So sweet! I'm glad your dad is doing better. My mom suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) years ago, so I understand many of the struggles/frustrations. Still, they're worth it all to have them with us. Take care!

I am SO GLAD your dad is doing okay, and is home now! I saw the middle post (first update), but had apparently missed what caused his condition in the first place, so I just read that! That is SO HORRIBLE!  I'm glad everything isn't as bad as the doctors thought it would be. That has to be a huge relief! I'm glad LO got to meet his PopPop. =)<3 I hope you and the rest of the family are doing well! (Even better now, I'm sure, since your dad is finally home!)

Big hugs to you guys! <3
