Someone said something beautiful to me today about Miles

He's transferring to a new day care closer to Nora's school when she starts kindergarten next month, and everyone is sad to see him leave the place he's been at since about 3 months. They all love him.

Today when I was picking them up, this quiet girl who helps out the teachers in his classroom approached me and told me she sees Miles as the definition of pure, unadulterated joy and happiness.

"The kind we're born with, the kind we're made to carry through our lives but the kind many of us lose along the way."

She doesn't have the best home life, that I know, and she said "Miles has cheered me up so many times just with a big smile or a run over to hug my legs. He loves me for who I am, unconditionally, and I've never had that before so I'm going to miss him."

GAH. I had tears rolling down my face, she had tears rolling down her face. The kids are both just standing there looking at us like whaaaa?

But it was a great moment. Really beautiful.
