AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! my husband is driving me crazy!! he has a Spanish heritage and i have a French heritage, and he is looking at all these baby names for a guy that 1 i don't like 2 i cant spell and 3 i cant pronounce. and hes getting mad at me because I'm not working with him, and "it's not fun anymore!". its frustrating cause I'm not trying to force my French names on him.... anybody have this problem? how did you deal with it?
Re: husband
I understand not being able to agree or go through a name discussion without stress. I have to say I am jealous though because you have many good names to enjoy!
My niece is Alejandra (SIL is from Spain)
What are the names you are both throwing out there?
Well, DH is Iranian, I am American, and we live in Italy, so we definitely have a lot to compromise on. There are some names that exist in all three languages, so we have been looking for more. I think it is important that the name be easily pronounced in all three languages, which leaves out anything starting with "h" for example (Italians can't say it). It's definitely a challenge!
Have you tried looking at names that exist in both languages (perhaps in slightly different versions)? In your case, there should be quite a few.
