New to Germantown

Hi ladies,

We just moved to the Germantown area.   I have a 21 month old and looking for things to do with her during the day.  Also, I'm 20 weeks pregnant and looking for an OB if anybody has any recommendations.  Thanks!

I have since switched doctors... but I really enjoyed Dr. Katherine Van Fossen, out of the Froedtert Health Menomonee Falls Clinic. She was not my doctor for my entire pregnancy but she did deliver my daughter and was an excellent doctor. Great bedside manor, answered all of my questions and when I ended up with an emergency c-section due to fetal distress she calmed my fears.

I have since switched doctors due to the fact that she will not allow me to attempt a VBAC delivery for my next pregnancy. I will be going to Aurora Summit in Oconomowoc with Dr. Sims for my next pregnancy. So far I have enjoyed seeing him. He has answered all of my questions regarding the risks and benefits of a repeat c-section vs. vbac delivery and from my knowledge has not sugar coated one or the r. It is a drive for me but in my opinion will be well worth it if I am able to deliver my baby vaginally.

Welcome!  I live in Menomonee Falls.  My OB is Dr. Amy Diestelhorst, and she is great!  She is at Froedtert Health, and she has offices in both Menomonee Falls and Germantown. 

As for looking for things to do, we go to the zoo pretty often.  If you buy a yearly pass, you pay for your visit if you go only 2 times.  My kids love it (they are 3 and 16 months.) Good luck to you in your pregnancy!

I see Dr. Katherin VanFossen at Froedert Health in Menomonee Falls. She is the most amazing OB! My sister and best friend love her too.
