Any idea how Stride Rite shoe sizing compares to say Target shoes? I need to buy the girls basic black shoes for Christmas but don't want to spend too much because I will rarely have them wear them other than that. And I know I'll never get them to the store to try them on. I'm actually looking at Circo Mary Janes. Thanks!
Re: Shoe sizing again...
I got DD's feet measured at Stride Rite and she measured a 6.5. I bought her a black pair at Payless that are a 6 and a silver pair from Target (Circo) that are also a 6.
I usually buy 2 sizes and have her try them on at home and see which fits her.
I keep forgetting that Stride Rite sends you home with a half size bigger. It's so confusing.
Taylor is a 5 with 5.5 Stride Rite shoes. That was about a month ago.
Brooke is a 6.5 with a 7 shoe. Also about a month ago.
So, Christmas being 3 months from that date, do they say they go up a full size or a half a size? Hmmm... Need to do some figuring.
Their reasoning is to give them room to grow - which I love, but with the shoes I bought her she still has the thumbs width to grew in the shoes.
Maybe Stride Rite runs small?
