This is a pretty slow board but people check in occaisonally. Many people go to Alliance Ob-Gyn in Lansing. It's a large group practice and all the OB's are women. I've gone there for several years and they delivered my first baby. I had an excellent experience.
I also go to Alliance. I had a difficult pregnancy so I was in the office a lot. Everyone there was so nice and I had a good experience even with the issues I had.
Alliance was my OB-GYN for my 6 year old son too. I loved them. I am now pregnant with my second and live in the Detroit area, my OB-GYN came highly recomended but they don't come close to Alliance at all! I wish I could still go there

I went to Meridian Women's Health for my first two, which was an amazing place. I now go to Dr. Maser at A New Beginning in Haslett, and I love it there. Very small place, and they don't overbook, so you don't wait forever.

I second Dr. Maser. He just brought on a female doctor too.
I agree Dr. Maser is amazing! It is him and an associate so you will not be bounced from dr. to dr. as tends to be the case with groups. They do all of their appointments, lab work and ultrasound right there in his office and during your scheduled appointments. I have never had an extended wait and he really listens to your questions. His staff is so nice. I am 24 weeks now and unfortunately lost a baby in January 2011. He called me personally to tell me what happened and was very sympathetic.
I have to say that I love the doctors and the atmosphere at Alliance! However, my sister went to Meridian Women's Health for all three of her kids and she said great things about them as well. Meridan tends to associate with Ingham and Alliance is associated with Sparrow, so I guess it depends largely on wherever you want to deliver (and wherever your insurance will let you go if its geared toward one or the other).
I had a high risk pregnancy and I saw Dr. Cramton at Alliance. Dr. Guerin performed my emergency c-section at Sparrow and was beyond wonderful. She is now my primary. Can't say enough wonderful things about the entire staff there. Everyone is/was amazing

love Alliance so far. All the staff seems well-versed and patient. My doctor sat through all my questions without rushing me. My best friend had both her girls with them too and all positive experiences
Yes, Alliance is fantastic. They are always calm, helpful, and unhurried. My partner and I actually look forward to even the most mundane of appointments.
