Banff/Calgary in October

Hi ladies, dh and I will be in Calgary and Banff in the middle of October. The plan is to driveto Banff on Friday and return to Calgary for the fligt out on Sunday.How difficult can we expect the drive to Banff to be? Also, dh will be there for work during the week so I plan on exploring the city on my own.Any must see places besides the zoo and the park (whose name I can't remember)? TIA!
