Oh I'm just AW. DH and I met 12 years ago today in the parking lot of a Taco Bell. So, actually, this is the first time we met face-to-face. We met online! Pretty awesome and crazy. I really lucked out. As much as I complain, he really is an awesome Daddy and a wonderful husband.
I'm going to try to bake a pineapple cake I've never tried before. Supposedly one can of pineapple added to one box of yellow cake mix. That's it. No oil, eggs; basically don't follow the instructions. I think it was on a WW blog I read.
If that turns out good I want to mix a can of blueberries for a pie with a box of white cake mix. Assumably it would turn out the same.
Anyone try this?
Re: 12 year "Anniversary"
I was just reading someting online yesterday about a cake recipe that is a cup of flour, cup of sugar, and cup of fruit cocktail (from Steel Magnolias). Apparently it works but is very sweet - I would expect the same from the pineapple and cake mix. I agree with pp that the pie filling might not work well due to consistency, but it can't hurt to try.
The pineapple cake turned out great and I made the icing, too. (Pina Colada)
Plus I made coconut crusted chicken and potatoes au gratin.
I linked the recipes if you're interested. The first two are lo cal; potatoes not at all!
