How long can you walk around 4 cm dilated??

I knew to not get excited when they told me at 37 weeks I was 3 cm dilated, but now I'm at a 4 and just wondering if anyone else stayed at 4 cm, and for how long?

one of my online friends walked around at a 4.5 for almost 3 weeks with her second.

my cousin who was pregnant with twins walked around for 4 weeks at 4 cm....it was her third pregnancy

Wow, I would be psyched if I was you! 4 free centimeters?!? As far as I know I'm gonna have to work for all 10 of mine I'd love to have 4 free ones...

I was at 4cm and 100% for 2 weeks

I was 3cm at 33 weeks, 4cm at 37 weeks, and now I'm 5 cm (90% effaced) at 39 weeks.  Still no signs of labor other than braxton hicks, which I've had since about 20 weeks.

I was at 4 cm, 80% effaced when checked last Friday. I go back tomorrow for another appt. I can update you afterwards.

I was 4 cm for 6 weeks -- 31-37.  Now I'm 5 and 90% effaced.  Still nothing.  Arrggghh...
