Update on Us

We've been running around like crazy trying to get our background clearances / checks, etc out of the way.  We had everything submitted on Monday.  Our home study was today, and she said as soon as she gets the clearances back, we're good to go.  It was such a relief.  I haven't been able to sleep because I've been worried about the BM going into labor.

Also, the BM had an u/s this week and it's a girl!  We have 7 boys on DH's side, so this is a REALLY big deal.  We've only known since Tuesday, and a lot of pink stuff has already been bought, lol.

For those of you who don't know, GoDawgs helped match us with her son's BM.  Our daughter will be the full bio sibling of Logan.  And GD and I are going to start hanging out .

Based on a late term ultrasound, edd is sept 25. But that could be off by 2-3 weeks. We are trying to figure out when we are going to head out there now. It's tough.

I know.  What makes it hard is she believes she will go on the 10th or 15th.  I'm really nervous to head out there THAT early... 

Yeah, you could easily end up being there 5+ weeks if you go out that soon.  What a tough decision.  We were matched just one week before the edd, so we didn't have to consider going out so soon.

She was also convinced she'd go early with Logan.  When we were in Vegas, she would call or email each day and say that she's having contractions and is certain that it would happen the next day.  And I figured that she should know since she's done this before, but then the next day would pass.  Then she would say that she was completely shocked, and just knew it would happen tomorrow.  lol.  It was such a roller coaster.   

Of course, once she goes into labor, the baby will be here in like 20 minutes, and you don't want to miss it
