My anniversary is coming up labor day weekend and I'm trying to find some fun things to do... last year we went to Austin, but considering I'm 7 months along...I don't want to deal with the bar scene. Any suggestions of what's going on labor day weekend in DFW?!

My husband and I rented a cabin from this website www.absolutecharm.com. You can search by the price you want to spend per night or by the size/location of the cabin. Ours was very secluded. There was a shower outside, my husband took me everyday lol. We went to the store and bought groceries and just cooked there. They do give you a free meal to eat either breakfast or dinner at a couple of select restaurants. The cabins are in Fredericksburg, Texas. We live in the Rowlett area, the drive was not too bad.
Hope you have a wonderful Anniversary whatever you guys decide to do!!
We just went for our anniversary in June, and had a great time. Definitely not the Austin bar scene- very low key and quiet. We're in Arlington, it was quite a drive but it was a pretty one.
We climbed Enchanted Rock (you may not want to at 7 months pregnant though!), saw the bats at Old Tunnel, ate good food, shopped, and just relaxed.
We just got back from Cedar Creek Lake this weekend. We rented a house and it was really fun (although hot!). It was only about an hour and a half drive from Dallas.

Another vote for Fredericksburg!

Some restaurants participating in restaurant wk have extended their dates thru Labor day wknd. You can get a 5 star meal extremely reasonable.
-Dinner cruise on Lake Lewisville-one charter I can think of is BigDcats.com
- Mystery Dinner Theater
- Shreveport or an Okl. casino
Happy Anniversary...Mine is 9/4!
I have a friend that goes out to the Gaylord Texas evey year for her anniversary.
