I'm thinking of breaking down and putting P in a "big boy bed". My aunt has a twin bed that I'm planning on putting a rail on the side of. Here's the bedding I've been thinking of since it already matches his room colors and decorations:
I think it's really cute! I like the colors a lot.
I also wanted to tell you that I really liked the last paragraph of Monday's blog post. I feel the same way about my ex. He has no idea what being a real parent is like either.

thanks! Yah, it was kind of amusing but at the same time it was nice to take a break and let him know what it was like to spend a little time in my shoes!

I dread the day B goes into a toddler bed. I'm already heartbroken at how grown up he looks when he's sleeping w/out his binky. A toddler bed may push me over the edge!

I'm not commenting on your post....just the words in your siggy. I LOVE IT!!! I hate when women say, "Oh, my husband is going out of town for a week so I'm going to have to be a single mother." Ugh, puh-lease! You don't even know the meaning of the word! Thanks for putting it so succinctly!

Thanks but I can't take credit for it -- it was becca (SN is in my siggy as well) who said those words. But, like you, I loved the way she was able to put how we as single parents feel into words and I wanted to "borrow" the saying
