We just moved to the Anderson area from out of state and I am looking for playdates or classes in the area. Does anyone know of anything or would like to set something up? Thanks so much!
How old are your children? Have you been to Beechacres park? I'm not sure about playdates or classes in Anderson- but we love Gymboree and it's close by.
Re: Anderson Playdate or classes
Hi, and welcome to Cincinnati! I'm an eastsider, born and raised, so I'm partial to the area. I agree with Emily's recommendation of Gymboree Play & Music in Columbia/Tusculum (about a 10-15 drive from Anderson) and Beech Acres Park. You might want to call the Hamilton County Library (Anderson branch) and inquire about their children's programs (typically free). We also really like Woodland Mound Park (both the playground and the splash park), Recreations Outlet (in Milford), The Cincinnati Nature Center, The Duke Energy Children's Museum (at the Cincinnati Museum Center), The Cincinnati Zoo, and [Planet Snoopy] Kings Island. There are also tons of fun things to do in the fall - from apple picking to pumpkin patches at area farms to trick or treating at the zoo and Kings Island. Have you checked out Newport on the Levee, yet? You can walk across the Purple People bridge and play at Sawyer Point, which is fun, too. The Newport Duck Tour is also fun, which takes off from the Levee.
Clearly, I think this city has a lot to offer, and I hope you love it here as much as we do!
