Will vitamins give me energy?

Since DD was born, I have been completely worn out! I am constantly tired! I have started running pretty regularly, and I thought that would help boost my energy some...but it hasn't. I am 27, should I be taking vitamins regularly? I admit I don't eat enough vegetables, but I eat plenty of fruits. Do you take vitamins?

  • I take a multi-vitamin but if you're constantly tired you might want to consider getting your thyroid checked.

Vitamins won't give you extra energy per se, but they can insure that you getting a day's worth of nutrients that might be lacking in your diet.

  • I'd add a multivitamin and see if it helps anything after a couple-few weeks. If not, I'd def ask the dr to check iron and thyroid things.

  • Only food can give you energy. However, if your body is not getting the nutrients and vitamins it needs through your regular diet, it will not function at it's best.

If I were you, I would try to improve my nutrition and make sure I was getting enough exercise. If after that you find you are still struggling with your energy levels, it might be a good idea to discuss it with your dr.
