Just wondering if you have found anything else out about Sam's head. I have been thinking of you, and hadn't noticed you post about it (then again, have not had much nest time lately).
Thanks for thinking of me, actually the whole situation has gotten worse. I got a letter in the mail from my insurance company today saying they need more info in order to approve the brain surgeon I start reading the paper and they are saying that the boys old pedi reffered us to them when they have nothing to do with it. So now I have to call them and clear that up
I called the brain surgeons and told them about the paper and that even if I send it off tommorow it won't get approved in time for Wed the day of the appt. I tell them how frustrated I am b/c from what I understand this is a time sentive issue we have to get this fixed before his soft spot has closed up and besides that this is just a consultation I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY SON! I also explain to them that I do have twins and while I know it is not the doctor's office problem I have trouble scheduling someone to watch Max. Right now my Aunt is but she has knee surgery on Monday and won't be able to work for a couple of weeks let alone chase after a 9 month old, so I might just have to call my Mom to see if she can come out and help (I live in FL she lives in AZ).
So tomorow I'll be on the phone all morning trying to get this settled, the doctor's office said they would call the insurance company right away and call me back and I'm hoping they did. I'll post about it tomorrow.
How are your guys doing? Is the head control getting better? Remember my guys had trouble with that too, didn't have complete head control until almost 6 months (4 1/2 adjusted) so I know how you feel.
UGH, I am so sorry. I cannot imagine how frustrated you must feel. That just sounds awful. Not sure why insurance always has to be so difficult and such a pain in the butt.
Hopefully they will get it worked out and you can take him in this week. I am sure the anticipation is awful too, waiting for answers and your mind thinking of every possibility. I am so sorry that you are going through this. Where in AZ is your mom? I am from AZ so just curious.
The boys are doing better with their head control. Well, E never had a problem, I swear that boy has the strength of a grown man We call him the tank, he is big (18lbs) and just solid and VERY strong. His brother is much more advanced socially but seems to lag behind several weeks in the physical development. S finally does have head control. I would say that he started having really good head control when we hold him about a month ago, and then about 2-3 weeks ago he started to be able to do tummy time much better. Now he is doing well, they are both rolling, so that is neat to see.
We tried to start rice cereal and that has been a bit of a disaster, they screamed uncontrollably for about 3-0-45 minutes last night, so we decided to hold off again on trying it for several more weeks.
Just want you to know that I am thinking about you and will look for the update tomorrow. I don't have to work tomorrow so if the boys take their naps I should have some nesting time!!
Insurance is a pain, and my dh's family could never afford it growing up so he knows nothing about it so it was my responisbility to pick the plan since it isn't offered through his work.
My parents and my sister live in Phoenix. They moved there about 3 years ago and they love it there.
That is great about the head control, what a relief that must be for you. Once my boys got that milestone covered there was no stopping them. They can crawl, and are pulling themselves up on everything.
Good luck with the ceral. It took my boys a wile to get used to it too. If you think of it durring the day let your boys play with the spoons, it might help them get used to them for when you give ceral another try.
