I am thinking of getting this set for L since he loves to swing and obvs I'm not going to the park in the dead of winter
also when did your LO use a regular swing? right now L is in the bucket swing (and they have that option for this set) - guess I should get the toddler swing especially since #2 is on the way and he'll only be a little over a year *next* winter...
Re: anyone have this?
That thing honestly scares the crud out of me. Could see Ian falling on his head. Probably the skeptic in me talking.
Ian got the hang of a regular swing around age 2. He still hasn't quite figured out pumping, but he knows how to hang on.
I don't have that swing, but I do have a swing in my house. We installed ours on a swivel tire swing type hook, so it is installed very different. But we do have the issue of bumping into things, swings require a lot more clearance than you realize when they are outside! I have seen the doorway support bar, they look dangerous at first but after some reading on them they seem safe. I am not sure what kind of space you have in your house, or how handy your DH is. But I would looking into finding space to just put some swing hooks into the ceiling (be sure they are in a supporting beam) and hang a swing. The price on the doorway support bars is a bit crazy IMO. You can also look around on sensory sites and see more options of indoor swings. Below is our swing, but we have since installed it inside.
