Update on glucose test

I just had my doctor's office call and say I have to do the three hour test. I was so sick after the 1 hour it took me a whole day to recover. I don't know if I want to do it again or just modify my diet. Problem is I know I will end up losing weight and not gaining it. I've only gained 12 pounds total.

Sometimes it takes more than a modified diet to help control blood sugars. I failed both my 1 and 3 hour tests. I was sick for days after taking them as well. Luckily, I don't have to take insulin, and I am able to control it with diet & exercise. It's best to talk it over with your doctor. Maybe you can try by testing your blood sugar 4x a day for a few weeks and see if you can control it with diet & exercise.
