I haven't been around for a while as I have been trying to focus on positive births and find that sometimes I just can't stand all the negative stuff that gets thrown around on these boards.
Anyways - I've been reading Ina Mays book and it has been SO insightful. Us women are so strong and CAN give birth naturally and have those VBAC's without issue.
So, for those of you who are scared about your TOL, not progressing and things you're up against, you have the right to do what YOU want. I'm tired of hearing about OB's allowing only so many hours to have a baby and needing to dilate a cm every hour or whatever, when the reality is, each birth is different. We don't just have a baby by laboring for exactly 8 hours, we don't need pit or episiotomies, IV's or other hospital or OB required things to have a baby. Moving around and changing positions is crucial to effective birthing (and your posture & positioning before labor even begins is important for the baby to be in a good position). We have been made to do this. Our bodies will open & adjust accordingly if we take control of our bodies instead of being a bystander.
With that said...I'm really looking forward to those waves & rushes to start any time now!
