  • I have never had issues with stink when out and about.  We've used prefolds and covers, hybrids, pockets, and AIOs when out and just store wet/dirty ones in a small wet bag in my diaper bag until we get home.

DD doesn't poop very often anymore, only about once every 3-5 days, so I haven't had to store a poopy diaper in my wet bag when out of the house in a while.

  • Get a wet bag. They sell them on Amazon in different sizes. They hold in the smell and you can just throw them in the wash with the diapers. They have smaller ones that fit in your diaper bag. Also, we use gDiapers and when we're on the go we use the disposable inserts that we can toss.

  • Dirty diapers go in a zippered wet bag in my diaper bag. I've never noticed a smell. I get home and put them straight in the pail with the rest. It really hasn't been an issue, aside from the fact that cloth is bigger than disposable - I do have a large diaper bag that lets me carry 2 or 3 and all my gear no problem.

Wetbags hold in any smell.  It's no issue. We like medium Planetwise or regular Wahmies for going out.
  • I pack 2 wetbags.  1 wetbag has clean diapers, the other is empty and we put dirties in it.  I also carry a ziplock bag with 3-5 washcloths that are damp in case I need to change a poopie diaper.  I just use those wipes once we get home if I haven't used them while we are out.  I reuse the ziplock over and over.

    Works great.

  • Wet bag. I bought a beautiful one on Etsy that has gorgeous fabric on the outside, and a nice waterproof inner that keeps all stink in. I've had it in a warm car over a weekend and never smelled a thing.
  • Not to hijack the post, but when I use CDs when we're out and about, it's so cool when other women notice (I say women mostly because I'm in the ladies room using the changing table) and they all say, "I had no idea cloth diapers are like that now!  Wow!"  It happens a lot!  And then I start talking their ear off about them :)
