recommend your food processor

for baby food making.  We're finally there- this week F will be introduced to the fab world of solids!  Please let me know your model and why you love it.  I'd rather not go the blender route- we have one and it's heavy and bulky and it annoys me.  I loathe having applicances on my countertop- so preferably something sizable that's easy to store away after each use.  Grassyass!

  • I've heard good things about the Baby Bullet!  We use a big, bulky Cuisinart.

  • Hamilton Beach Big Mouth. I had it before my baby food making days. So, I love it for many more reasons than just making mushy baby goop. :) It slices, dices and shreds. Also a 14-cup capacity.

  • I have a Cuisinart as well, but I had it before my baby food days. I really like having it around the holidays for making pie dough. I also hate stuff out on my counters, but I found that if I didn't have it out I would never use it. So, my food pro and the Kitchen Aid mixer are both out on the counter these days.

  • I know I have an addiction to small kitchen appliances and my MIL loves to buy *** so I have the  cuisinart mini prep and smart stick hand blender, the ninja, the kidco electric food mill and the beaba baby cook, plus a cuisinart blender, I use and like them all for different reasons, for baby food so far i liked the best doing mixed fruits and veg with the mini prep or kidco, single purees the beaba.

  • I'm not sure if there's an advantage to ones special for babies.  Anyway I have the Cuisinart 14 cup & it's awesome, worth every penny.  First I had purchased the Kitchenaid food processor & had to return b/c food got stuck in the handle & couldn't be washed out.  Called the company & they said they knew it was a design flaw.  Can you believe that!
