Have you ever had a BFN that could have been a BFP??

Ok ladies, I'm relatively new to this board. I lurk more than I post. I have PCOS, diagnosed in February of this year. Started Clomid at 50mg in April, 100mg in May, 150mg in June, and 150 again this past month. I also had the HCG trigger shot this past month. I ovulated with the Clomid in june, so I just felt like this extra kicker would get it. Today is day 31, last month I started on what would have been 31, but still nothing. No spotting and I normally spot for a few days with Clomid. I have taken 2 tests, even a digital and they are negative. Have you ever had a false negative? I guess I'm still a little hopeful, but also wondering where the heck my AF is!!!!

What you are talking about would not be a "false negative"...it takes a while for the hormone to build up in your system that would trigger a positive on HPT.  How many days has it been since you gave the trigger shot to yourself?  Because if it's not 16 days past trigger (14 dpo) then it might just be too early to test.  It depends how long since you O'd, not how long your cycle is in total. 

Sorry, but most all of us here have never seen a BFP...

I am in the same boat! I am on a clomid cycle and I was supposed to start Sunday. I still haven't started. I usually spot as well for a few days and nada. I however haven't tested because I am just to scared to see another BFN. I have seen so many of those. Also just remember that Clomid can mess with your cycles a bit so give it another day or 2 and test again if AF is still a no show.

I will wait a couple more days. It has been 16 days since the shot and I'm 13 dpo. Maybe, just maybe something will work out. Good luck to you!

ETA:  To OP -- if you want to torment yourself endlessly, sign up for Fertilityfriend.com and look through the chart gallery to find charts in which the woman got a BFN at Day X only to have it turn into a positive at Day Y.  I have spent way too much time on that site giving myself false hope by doing that. Sigh.  Not to be too much of a Debbie Downer... but I hope it works out for you, though and you get a BFP after all!

Saying you were "supposed to start Sunday" and wondering why it's day 31 and you haven't started yet makes me think that neither of you are being monitored while on clomid. Did you have bloodwork and ultrasounds to confirm when you ovulated? Do you know how many dpo you are? If not, stop taking fertility meds without proper medical care and see an RE if you are doing this with your OB. It is dangerous and no wonder you are confused if you have no clue what's really going on in there.

Are you on any supplements, like progesterone or estrogen? If you are on progesterone they say AF won't come until you stop taking it. 

Also, my cycle is usually 28-30 days, and one month on clomid I went 35 days.  Sometimes your body just has an "off" month, and it's not like you are used to.

Hoping you get BFP though!  GL!

I had 2 tests of BFN at 14 and16 days dpo last time I was pregnant. I would wait a couple of days and test again. i hope it is a BFP

Well ANOTHER FAILURE of a month! Started spotting last night, AF should arrive any freaking day.
