Anyone waiting to decide on name?

We have 9 days til my due date, but I've been up all night with on again off again contractions.  We haven't settled on a baby name yet.  We have several we like and one day we think it's one and another day, we're not so sure. 

Is anyone planning on meeting the baby first?  If so, was it easier to decide once you met them?

We have a list of names for our LO, and will decide after he's born. For us, it's just how we prefer to do it. There is no secret keeping with family- they all know that we just aren't comfortable naming the baby til after the birth.

We're waiting to meet baby.  We have 3 names that we plan on bringing to the hospital, and then we'll decide once we see her and get to know her a bit.  I can't name a person I've never officially met!

Yep, that's how we did it with DS. We had three names in mind, and when he was born we all (me, DH, nurses, and doctor) looked at him and said, yep "he's a Cormac"...it was pretty easy that way! As long as you have a few names that you both like AND agree on- don't stress about it! GL

My first child was 5 days old before she was named.  My second child was given an additional name to what we had settled on.  My third child had a name within 24 hours --- not a name I had on a list...it just came to me that this was supposed to be his name.

This child, had it been a girl, had a first name already picked out...turned out to be a boy, and we have a five name list with two always holding first and second place.  Haven't wasted time yet thinking of middle names.  Likely we won't have a solid name until we see him.

i won't be picking until i see him. my husband is such a pain in my a$$ i have no other choice.
