We've got less than 9 weeks to go and we're still undecided on a name for our baby girl! We've narrowed it down to a few front runners, but we've got dilemmas associated with some our favorites...
Malia - LOVE this name, but there's already a baby Malia in my sister's husband's family. They're far enough removed from us that she's now 1 and I've never met her, but if we name our daughter Malia then my niece (sister's daughter) would have TWO cousins named Malia.
Kaila (pronounced Kay-la) - This is my husband's favorite, but only spelled this way. I like the name, but I'm concerned that the uncommon spelling will result in mispronunciation
Mia - I love it! But have some reservations about it's popularity
We also like Aria and Mila.
Let me know what you think! We're still open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas that fit in our naming style. MN is TBD but last name sounds like 'Patterson'...
Re: Girl Name Dilemmas - Help! POLL
I'm from Hawaii and Kaila would be pronounced Kye-la ... although i think a LOT of people would pronounced it that way (?) I don't care for Kayla either way.
I really like Mila and surprisingly, Aria. I love the nn Ari.

I love Aria.
If I can persuade DH to name our next child Aria, I will use the name. it!
Mia would be my second vote.
Love Mia or Aria.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Yes, this.
OP: I love both Mila and Mia.
I voted for Mila, but Aria would have also gotten my vote. It was a close second for me.
Mia is too popular for my taste. Malia is fine, just NMS.
No matter which way you spell Kayla, I still hate it, so that's gets a no for me. What about Kara instead?
I agree with this
I vote for Aria, Mila, Malia, in that order.
I really dislike the name Kayla. And I also agree that the spelling Kaila, should be pronounced Kye-la
If you love Malia, go for it. Does it really matter that your niece would have 2 cousins with that name? Who cares? It's really not that confusing.
Kaila I really dislike, and I would pronounce it Ky-la.
I love Mila, if we have another girl, that's the name we are going to use.
I think I'm the only one who pronounced Kaila the way you intended but that's because I have a cousin who spells it that way. So I don't actually mind it. However, I have met a few people named Kai (Kye) so I could see why you'd have to correct people.
I like Mia and Mila.
