So you ladies have convinced me to go the fitteds and wool route for overnight and we haven't had any leaks Yay! So my issue is that I have to stuff the fitteds so full that they gap at the legs and my girl can't walk because they are so bulky.
I'm using a B4 and a goodmama, all of the inserts that come with them, at least two hemp babies doublers inside and an AFFF doubler between the diaper and the cover. Even with all that the diaper is just about dripping in the morning. So far the wool is just barely damp around the waist band on the outside, but she seems to be uncomfortable at night and waking more. I'm guessing that it's that the diaper is so bulky and she can barely move?
So what can I do to up the absorbancy and cut down on the bulk? Thanks!
Re: another fitted/wool question, long, sorry.
I don't have any B4s, but I've heard they are good for night time. Are you using a regular GM fitted or GM good.night? I've only used a reg GM once overnight and I was nervous about it - I don't find them to be "night worthy." Hemp is pretty absorbent & thin, so I don't know what I can suggest to help you in that area. Maybe overtime (with washing) the diapers/inserts will become more absorbent?
One of the reasons I like the sbish snapless is that there is a lot of space for stuffing without having gaps at the legs and it's stretchy and adjustable. It's still super bulky, but I *imagine* it to be more comfy haha.
Yes, she drinks about 8-10oz of milk right before bed. I'm thinking that I'm going to try to cut that out. It's got to be the problem right? But that's a whole other issue.
I have only been using the reg. goodmama but I've looked at the good.nights. That and I've heard lots of people like Sbish's snapped and snapless. I may have to try to see if I can get a couple of those used on Spots. I need more than 2 fitteds anyways right?
Thanks!
