Hobbies?

I know that sometimes this IF journey can take over our brains, life, etc. So How do you deal with it? What hobbies do you have?

I am in my last few weeks of schooling so right now that consumes most of my time, but afterwards, I am a little nervous about what am I going to do to make sure and keep myself occupied. Right now my plan is to throw myself into my workouts, reading all of the books I have not had time for and hopefully getting into photography. I also am going to take time to blog more so I can get my feelings out without always unloading them on my H.

I spend my free time reading, walking/jogging with my dogs, and pedicures are my favorite treat on days that I need a special little something.

I play piano, do crossword puzzles, play board games, watch movies, read, and I like to paint my own nails.  It's relaxing.  I also start watching a series long after its been on the air so I can watch it all at once.  I just started House, and finished The Office.

I need to admit that even though I am girl. I suck at painting my own nails Seriously it's like I am a Pre-School-er painting when I try! LOL.

Lots of reading for me. I gradated from my master's program in May, and I have LOVED being able to read non-school related books. I also walk or bike ride, a lot, am lucky enough to live near the ocean, so we have great boardwalk paths.

That and dates with girlfriends for coffee, drinks, movies, etc. Keeps me busy. (I'm assuming hanging out with DH is a given, so just giving you my alternatives to keep me busy!)

ETA: Congrats to you on finishing school. What were you studying?

Thanks Jilly! I am a legal secretary and I am finishing up a BA in Paralegal Studies.

My hobby sometimes adds to the stress of IF. I am an actress which I love but it means not getting home until 11pm most nights (and having to wake up at 5am for work). Also, it's a hobby that I am going to have to drop *when* I get the BFP. It will be totally worth it but just another thing on my mind.

 Reading more sounds amazing. What about cooking?! I hope to start some cooking classes once I have more time.

Oh! I was heavy into Drama in High School. I miss it sometimes and DEF going to get back into my cooking! I used to love to cook and then adulthood set in and just don't have the energy that I used to.lol. But my nights are going to be more free so I will have the luxury of taking my time with dinner.

I love to cook, grill and bake! I love reading recipes and then adding my own touches to them!!   When I bake goodies, I send them to work with DH, so I'm not tempted to eat them!!  It's made me the most popular wife at his plant! 

I just got laid off, and can't really go job searching, knowing I have a cycle coming up next month. Since there's a lot of time off for appointments, etc.  So now I actually get to spend time with DH and friends!

My doggies also keep me very occupied! I love to walk and play with them!  I also love my garden!

Running (but won't be training for a half marathon or full anytime soon), scrapbooking, reading, taking our dog for a hike, watching movies. Hopefully with the 2ww in a few months I can dust off my scrapbook stuff.

I am doing my very first 1/2 at Disneyland in January! I am doing it more for the experience and plus it's Disneyland! But I am also taking this into consideration when I go to my first RE appt in September, when discussing timing. If it all goes well and I am a good candidate for IVF.

I bake and decorate cookiouse 6 months and cakes. We bought a house 6 months ago, so I also do a lot of little project stuff. We have two dogs, and I spend a lot of time playing with them as well. DH and I also like to paint and we ride motorcycles when the weather allows.

DH works at a printing and production plant in Livermore!  He does a lot of work with wine boxes.

MIL bought me a donkey, in the hopes it would bring me out to visit more!

Soo true!!!! We usually leave late at night to miss the traffic! 

 My inlaws live in the country, at the end of a dirt road.  Good thing is, they don't mind that we bring the doggies!!!

I keep myself busy most of the time by reading.  Right now Borders/Walden Books is going out of business and everything is 30%-50% off.  It's a great time to go get some books if you have one close to you.  I am also super busy with teaching and I'm in a graduate program with five classes left until I get my master's degree, so that takes up a lot of my time. 

Yeah the shut down pretty quickly so I did not have time to stock up. BOO  

 

@Nay - We also bring the doggies when we go see my SIL
