If you have introduced cereal and veggies/fruits, do you continue to nurse at those meals? Do you nurse before or after the meal? My son doesnt seem interested in nursing after he eats a meal, but he doesn't eat as much if I nurse him before. Just curious.

I serve rice as her last meal before bed. I don't worry about her getting enough bm because I mix the cereal with bm. She eats the same amount of milk with the cereal mixed in.
I plan to start solids in a month. Not sure how that is going to work yet.
We just started a rice cereal meal in the evening. I was going to skip rice altogether, but she seemed interested so I tried it mixed with my BM and she loved it. I just consider it a little "practice" for now and will continue with just the one tablespoon of rice for a couple months.
I usually nurse at 5 or 6, then she gets her solid at 7 or 7:30, then she nurses to sleep around 8:30/9 before going down. So the rice meal has no effect on my nursing sched; she still nurses just as much.
My man was born Apr 3 so I'm just starting but this is how I feel about it.
The is what we do. Some days he eats more then others but he still nurses the same amount everyday.
