D is almost 2 and she's a size 8W. We typically buy from Stride Rite because they have the best selection of wide sized shoes. I look for them on sale and tend to buy sizes ahead when I see a good deal.
We have seen Nike in size wide but since they resigned Michael Vick I'm not interested in purchasing their shoes anymore. Too bad because they were great for DD to run and play in.
We love Stride Rite for Emma's wide feet. We also like some New Balance, but have found that she actually wears a regular size in those - not wide. I made the mistake of ordering her some online after she was sized in a store, only to discover that their fit isn't very universal across styles.
Riley, at 2.5, is outgrowing his 8.5 XW. thanks to the XW, we have only been buying Stride Rites for him.
Ditto the Stride Rite. Colin is finally down to only W, vs. XW for a long time. Stride Rite were the only shoes that really fit him and Saucony's for tennis shoes.
Re: s/o shoes
See Kai Run seems to measure pretty wide.
I think Alec was a size 10 when he was 3. Aerin is 2.5 and wears 6.5 - 7 depending on the shoe.

DMoney will be a kickass big sister
LOVE the Livie & Luca's. They're fab shoes and comfy for little (wide) feet.
ETA: G's 3 years, 4 mos. and she's in a size 10 (soon to be in an 11).
just so you know, i kinda heart you! :-)
