DH is thinking about applying for a job in DC (in the city). I just want to start doing research to see if it is better to live in the city or near a subway stop in a surrounding area (hopefully in a baby-friendly area)? We will have a 1.5 yo and a NB and I will try to find work at a nearby hospital only part time, but am interested in getting involved in any moms groups in the area like MOPS or Moms Club (if it exists over there). Does anyone have any useful resources (websites/books/newsletters) that they could point me to? TIA
Re: Sort of BR - what resources to find out re: DC and surrounding area
Do you know what metro stop his job is closest to?
eta: you can go to wmata.com to see the metro maps and pick something that is on the same line as his office.
the further out you go, the more space you will get for your money $$$. this is a super expensive area.
