My DD's birthday is coming up and she is showing interest in doll houses. I do not want to get her a wooden one and I am not sure which one to get her, so any rec. would be great.
We have the Fisher Price My First Dollhouse. She received it at her 2nd bday too. She still plays with it from time to time (at 3.75 yrs). And it gets a LOT of action when her little friends come over.

We had this one too when the girls were younger. They enjoyed it! We had to get a bigger dollhouse since the dolls they play with now have gotten taller.
I vote for this one!

I'll disagree only because I think you should just go ahead & get the more "grown up" one instead & not bother with this. We've owned many dollhouses & my DD3 is 2yrs old now & plays with this one just fine. She plays with it with her 6 & 4yr old sister...It has a longer "life" than the My First Dollhouse does--and there are way more accessories, options that you can get for it!

I don't consider the Loving Family one a "grown up" one. It doesn't fit tall Barbie sized dolls (which is what my girls are playing with now) and so it's kind of an "in-between" dollhouse.
We own a Kidkraft Savannah Dollhouse as our "grown up" dollhouse. My girls still play with it every day. We went from the My First Dollhouse to the Kidkraft. A 2YO is too short to play with the KidKraft ones since they are so tall........

They also still play with their first dollhouse all the time, so even though we got the "bigger, better" one recently, we still have this one out for them to use. They really love it.
I dont think 'grown up' necessarily means full size to be used with barbie dolls. Not all kids like Barbie dolls-
We have the FP loving family and DD loves it and plays with it every day. She does NOT have any interest in Barbies (has them- won't touch them) nor does she play with baby dolls- (but loves her FP loving family house)

We have this at the daycare I work at and the kids LOVE it - all ages, and even the boys too.

We've had this one for about a month now, and both of my girls (1 and 2.5) really enjoy it. However, it is wooden, but maybe you'd reconsider. ;-)
