Update-I would appreciate any support!!!

I just completed my 5th IVF cycle for the year. I am exhausted and trying to stay positive. They retrieved 9 eggs - 4 were GV's and 5 were mature. One didn't fertilize so it left us with 4. I did  a 2 day transfer today and had a (1) 4-cell grade 2, (1) 3 cell grade 2, (1) 5 cell grade 3 and (1) 3 cell grade 3.  I know the grade 3's don't look to good. My RE said anything over a 2 cell is what they want to see for a Day 2 transfer. Is there anyone out there who has had success with a 2 day transfer and a grade 2 or grade 3 with similiar cell division? I know miracles can happen.

I am hoping some of you can give me some success stories. Unfortunately our Direct TV hard drive crashed and I have no tv tonight to take my mind of any of this.

I don't know how anyone doesn't go nuts from the 2ww.

No experience myself. But I have heard countless stories about the worst embryos making perfect babies. Rent some red box for tonight and take it easy. Good luck hon.

Hi there,

I just completed my first IVF and had a 2 day transfer on Friday. I can only imagine how you feel completing 5 this year.  So I am in the 2WW with you.  My results weren't very good either.  I only had 3 follies at trigger. We did get 3 eggs but 1 was a GV and the other 2 did fertilize. One was 4 cell and the other only 2 cells. But both graded the worst on my RE's scale for fragmentation and symmetry. I don't know if everyone uses the same scale. My embies were a 4 (0 being the best, 4 the worst) for frag and 3 (0 being the best, 3 being the worst) for symmetry. I basically cried all afternoon on Friday. It is very hard to go through this and get that news (as you well know). Since then, I have heard a few stories that are uplifting and all we can do is hope, right?  When is your beta?

I have an identical twin sister who had no problems getting pregnant with her two kids. I did ask the RE if he had ever seen babies come out of Grade 3 embryos and he said yes a woman transferred three Grade 3's and got triplets. That did make me feel better. I know there are success stories out there of women getting pregnant with not so perfect egg quality so yes we should stay positive. I don't know how people make it through the 2ww-its going to be the longest 2 weeks to not think about it and stay positive. Thanks for sharing your story. At least for this cycle I know I am not alone.

For some reason, my clinic has my beta 14 days after ET (set for 8/26). I will have to test earlier at home as I can't wait that long. My sister is 2 years older than me and got pg right away at 35 and 37 with her 2 kids. No trouble. I know it isn't the same as a twin. You have the same genes-- why don't yours work the same? It just sucks. I will be thinking of you and maybe we will get a miracle.
