My df wanted subway today so we went there. My friend who is pregnant told me she eats there but gets either the meatball or chicken subs. I kind of wanted a tuna sub but it made me nervous watching that everything was just sitting out there. I figured it would be ok but the smells were enough to not make me too hungry so I just got a drink but wondering if subway is ok if you just avoid the lunch meat subs.
Re: do you eat at subway?
I eat there, but only the meatball, veggie delight, veggie burger, or chicken sandwiches.
Edit: Oh, and I used to work there as a teenager, so I'm familiar with their sanitation practices. While pregnant, I would not recommend the Tuna sandwich, as I don't think it's really kept cold enough to be safe. However, the meatballs are kept hot enough and you can always toast anything to be hotter.
Exactly! Subway isn't the only place that does this. Also, it doesn't matter what kind of meat (excluding tuna) as long as you can nuke it (as my ob/gyn says)! I love Subway!

I don't believe that God ever tells us "no". he has three options. Yes, not right now, or I have something better in mind. We just have to wait & see.
Something to keep in mind is that everything isn't just sitting out. The case that the food containers are sitting in is an open topped cooler (the "top" is the food containers) so the food is kept cold enough to be in accordance with the health inspectors policies. If it's not cold enough at inspection they have a very limited amount of time to correct the issue before a re-inspection. If it's still not cold enough at re-inspection the store could be immediately shut down.
Generally, if they're having issues with keeping the food cold enough it's an issue with the cooler, so it would affect all of the food, not just specific ones.
Unless you've seen a recent inspection report that concerns you, I wouldn't worry about it.
This post is making me hungry!
