Name Help

My sister-in-law just recently revealed the name that she and her husband decided for their baby girl, Chloe Caela. I actually really like the name but the only problem is that I don't know what the correct pronunciation is for Caela. I think that it's supposed to be pronounced like Kayla but my DH says it's Kyla and one of my coworkers is now saying it's supposed to be pronounced like Caylee?! Any ideas on what is the correct pronunciation? Thanks!

  • I would call her Kay-lah. And if it is pronounced differently then maybe they will change the uneek spelling to something a little more easily pronounced.

  • I would just ask her.  Make her aware that nobody knows how to pronounce that spelling.  I love the name Chloe but no matter how that middle name is pronounced it sounds too rhyme-y for my taste.

  • looking at it I would say Kayla
  • I would say Kayla as well. But there's no harm in asking, right? Any way it's pronounced, I'm not a fan of the alliteration.

This seems like the most logical option.
