What detergent should I get? I want something that's not super expensive, that will give my dipes a long life and keep resale value, and that I can preferably buy at the local Walmart...
I heard a lot of ladies use Tide original. Is this okay? I thought I saw a bunch of "no-no" ingredients on it in one of the detergent charts.
Also - should I switch to using my CD detergent for everything, even our clothes and towels?
I'm about to buy my first round of cloth diapers so I need to get something soon!
Re: Detergent Questions?
Most Walmarts only have Tide Ultra now. It works for us but not for some. I tried Dropps from Target and it seems that a lot of people have great success with it. Not us, still funk. Same with the Rockin Green.
I also like Crunchy Clean but that's from the internet. The only store ones I have used like I said is Tide Ultra and Dropps (not that cheap, 7.99 for 20 loads). Walmart carries Ecos and some use that but I read about a few people in forums having repelling from it.
I think I paid like 9 bucks for a small box of the ultra but you don't use much so it will be pretty cost effective.

Now that we have a front loader, the only thing that has worked for us is Rockin Green. I have found a local distributer so I don't have to pay shipping. Totally worth it. I might get some Dropps for our vacation though. I only use Rockin Green for diapers. Tide Free and Clear HE for everything else. No fabric softener ever. In fact I gave what we had away so DH wouldn't use it.
