Unexpected BFP- need OBGYN rec needed

We have a 2 year old and most definitely were not trying.  We were "one and done" and we had him in Wisconsin so I need recommendations for great doctors in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area.

OMG.

  • First of all congrats! What hospital are you planning/hoping to deliver at?  I go to the Pavillion in Everett, and love it, delivered twice there already.  I go through Everett Clinic for doctors, if that works for your insurance let me know can give you names of who I have seen and liked.

  • Congrats!  My primary care doc is in Edmonds and I've gone to her for over 20 years.  I believe she still delivers babies (at Swedish Edmonds - formerly Stevens Hospital).  https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-ann-begert-xrpbm/

  • I recommend Eastside OB at Evergreen hospital in Kirkland. I saw Dr. Dydell, but Dr. Wittman delivered my baby. (both are female in case you have a preference). Both were great and I was happy with their office, ultrasound techs and nurses as well.

  • I also recommend the team up in Everett. I went through the everett clinic, and delivered at providence. Dr Anholm was great!

  • I also delivered at the Pavillion at Providence in Everett and had a great experience.  They have MFM and a Level 3 NICU on-site, if needed, which made a difference to me (just in case... and I ended up needing MFM.)

I see an OB on the same floor of the Pavillion as the Everett Clinic doctors, but part of the Providence Physician Group.  I love, love, love my OBGYN, which is something I never thought I'd say (esp since it's a man).  I see Philip Henderson.

Congrats on your BFP, from a fellow former midwesterner!  (Chicago burbs, born and raised.)

  • Congratulations! If you'd like an OB, Mill Creek OBGYN is great and they deliver at Prov. If you want to go the midwife route, I loved the midwives group at Providence. Providence was a great place for me to deliver both times. I haven't heard as good of reviews of Swedish/Edmonds, but maybe things have improved there.

  • Dr. Gretchen Lockard at Edmonds Birth & Family Clinic is awesome! She can be hard to get in with, but I've seen her partners either during my pregnancy or before, and they are all great, too! Also, she can double as baby's doctor if you want her to.

I live in Edmonds and went to Evergreen to deliver and Dr. Wittman is my OBGYN and she delivered my DD. Wonderful people there, I highly recommend them!

  • I delivered my DD  at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland and had Dr Whitman loved  her she was awesome, Dry Drydell is in her practice too and she is great also
  • I LOVE Catherine Rogers at Puget Sound Women's in Edmonds. I've gone to them for years and before her had an RN (Rogers is an MD) that was great as well. If she were closer to my current home and office we'd stick with them for the birth. As it is I'll go back to her for my own care after the birth of LO.
