XP from Natural Birth board:
Long story short, we're supposed to move from Atlanta to Nashville at the end of the month. The plan was to move into a Nashville condo that I own while we are building a house. The condo was on the market and just recently sold much more quickly than we anticipated (yay!). So as of August 30th, DH and I have nowhere to live as we're the house won't be ready for 6 months (boo).
The apartment hunt in Nashville, where I have a natural birth friendly OB lined up, is going nowhere. Looking for apartments when college kids are flooding the market is ill advised. My parents have offered us their home in Florida for the 6 months until the house is completed. The obvious upside of this is free rent and utilities! We could save at least $2,000 a month doing this, keep our pets with us, and have family around when the baby comes.
But I know nothing about giving birth in Naples or Ft. Myers! I found a birth center online, but it seems they only practice group prenatal care and I am absolutely in no way interested in that. I also have to find someone who would be willing to take me on at 32 weeks (I am very low risk so far). I'm going to post this on the FL board, but was hoping maybe someone here might be able to offer some insight on any pro-natural OBs or if I should avoid Naples hospitals like the plague. Help?
Re: Natural birth OB in Naples or Ft. Myers
I live in Ft. Myers and my doctor is Dr. Sarah DiGiorgi at Physicians' Primary Care. Their number is 239-699-1413. I plan on having a natural birth as well and have discussed this with Dr. DiGiorgi. She supports my decision and I feel comfortable with her. I hope this helps.
