Pregnant after IF

Intro - sorry, long

Good morning, Ladies!  I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.  I have been on the board

s for a while but I have not been too active until recently when I decided to reach out for support during our IVF treatments.  We were dx in 2008 with unexplained when we first went to the RE.  We had tried clomid with the gyn/ob for a few months (unmonitored) with no success.  We were blessed with a BFP on our first try 5/2009 and we had our beautiful daughter in 1/2010.  We never tried to prevent pregnancy after her birth but decided to return to the RE in Sept/Oct 10 when we were ready to have baby #2.  Crazy us, we thought we would go in, get an IUI and a BFP on our first try again.  LOL, God has ways of showing us he has his own schedule!  We tried clomid and IUI from Oct -Jan with no success.  We skipped IUI with injectables since I have back problems (2 spinal sugeries) and he wanted to hae more control over the chance of multiples.  We did two rounds of injectables and never made it to the retreival.  They transfered the first one to IUI since I only had 3 follies, and the second was cancelled because my hormones were acting weird.  While waiting to begin cycle 3 on the shots we realized that I was pregnant.  Sadly the IUI with injectables worked but the baby was ectopic.  That was devastating.  Over Easter we lost the baby.  2 years earlier over Easter we had a c/p.  Bad time of year for us.  We were able to begin the shots again in July.  Finally made it to retreival.  Had 15 mature but only 9 fertalized.  We lost another by day 3.  By day 5 we had 2 very strong embies and one they expected to make it to day 6 to freeze.  So, we transferred 2 and froze 1. The 2ww killed me.  Then beta hell!  Our 12dpt beta was 48 and the nurse was very negative about the low number.  I cried for 2 days.  But on 14dpt (yesterday) I was up to 142!  So, they are officially calling me preggers and they scheduled me for u/s on Monday!

I am cautiously excited!  I am looking forward to the next 9 months!  Thank you for listening to me and I hope to become great friends!
