Tylenol for contractions?

Does anyone know if you can take Tylenol for contractions?  I thought I was in labor on Wednesday, but it turned out to be pre-labor and last night I had another really painful contraction.  I know that Tylenol is ok during pregnancy, but is it ok to take for contractions or would it mask what you are supposed to be feeling or something?

    I asked my doctor about it on Tues and she said it was fine.  I've been taking it on and off when they get bad or when I'm having a lot of cramping.

    Or as another poster on here replied in another thread, like bailing out a sinking ship with a teaspoon. :)

    I'm sure it's safe, I just don't see the point and it would just be one more drug in your system if you do go into labor.

    Its safe. but the nurses told me it does nothing for them. So of it works for you, great.
