Thankful Thursday

It's late and nobody has started the thread! Seems like we always have way more who participate in FFFC (myself included), let's be positive tonight! :)

Re: Thankful Thursday

  • I'm so thankful for my parents right now. They have had Ella for the past 2 nights, but come over in the morning to help me pack and take trips to the storage unit and my Mom usually brings some sort of lunch/dinner for us. I'm really starting to miss Ella though... I think the 35 hour car ride and sleeping in the same hotel room each night next week will make up for it though! :)

  • I am thankful our 5 days at the beach went so well. The boys and I had to share a room, which I was afraid would be hard but we were all so exhausted each night we slept really well.  And it was great for the boys to be with my parents, not to mention I got to nap each day while W did and M would go on a super long bike ride with them, so we had a quiet house.

  • One of the ladies from my birth months boards 4.5 month old daughter was having major surgery today and they weren't sure she was going to make it. We just got word that she is okay!

  • I am thankful DH has had a safe journey to Sturgis so far, and pray he makes it home safely.  I don't usually worry so much (he does long distance riding several times a year), but he will be riding the whole way back alone.  He went with a pack of about 50, but he's coming home so he can get back to work.

Which leads me to my next TT:  In my car, I almost ran over a motorcycler.   I ride myself, so I consider myself a safe "cager", but the only thing that saved that dudes life yesterday was his orange vest...thank God he was wearing it!  I'm still shaken up about it.  He was in that dreaded blind spot :(

  • I'm so thankful that Whitney is finally recovering from her mysterious high fever she's had all week. Poor thing hadnt been herself in days and I'm so happy my spunky toddler is back! Selfishly, I'm also glad she's better so DH and I can have a date night tomorrow. Can't wait!

  • I'm thankful that DH is alright and that his kidney stone has past and that he can return to work. I am also thankful that I unofficially have a job and start the first week of school. I'll be working with youth again like I originally planned. =D

  • I'm thankful that I have a husband who's skilled enough to do construction on our house and a dad who's willing to help! Cooper's room needs to be completely gutted before he gets here. The previous owner installed an entrance door on the back of the room. We need to rip out the sheet rock, windows and carpet. For whatever reason the previous owner had installed a layer of sheet rock on top of the existing layer so instead of pulling one wall, we need to pull out two. We then will re-frame everything, install new windows, texturize, paint and refinish the floors. This is all happening by the end of the month!

Also, I'm thankful for having a healthy pregnancy!
