Hello everyone....I have tried 2 (negative) home pregnency tests, 3 days later at the OB doctor's office....it shows postive....anyone has this kind of experience before....thanks
Yep. That was me. I was testing at home WAY too early. I chilled out for a few days and then retested, and it was pos at home. Try not to test until the day of a missed period...otherwise you might get a false negative since your hormone levels could still be really low and undetectable. :-)
I've heard the digital ones are notorious for that, b/c you have to hit a certain threshold of hormone before it'll give you a positive. The tests w/ lines are better, b/c it will still give you a very faint line if you're prego.
false negatives are very common. The accuracy increases the longer you wait to test. Usually 99% by a few days after your missed period.
ETA: Also the pink line tests are less accuate than the blue and digital tests.
Just curious, but where did you get this information from? I've always heard (and read) that blue tests are notorious for false positives. Also digitals are less sensitive than regular dye tests.
Haven't had that exact experience, I got 6 positive HPT and a negative at the doctor's office lol...talk about nerve racking lol. But I am pregnant after finally getting a positive at the doctor's lol.
I had three negative tests before I got a positive. I had a very long cycle that particular month, so while I assumed I was testing when my period was late, I wasn't.
