XP: When would you potty train? (details in post)

DH has the next 3 weeks off from work. We are going on vacation during the second of those three weeks (driving four hours and spending 4 nights at a house near the beach). DD has been very potty interested, but we haven't put tons of focus on it. She can remember to go on the potty when she is naked or in big girl pants about 50% of the time. She immediately knows that she has started to pee, and sometimes will finish on the potty (other times will not). She tells us when she is peeing in her diaper as well. She poops on the potty occasionally too, but sometimes tells us that she wants to just go in her diaper. 

Originally we talked about going diaper-free starting with the first week of DHs vacation; which would give her 7 full days before our  trip to get used to the idea. Now that its here, I just don't want the trip to stress her out or have her feel bad if she has an accident on vacation.But then again, I want her to be fully ready when she goes back to the sitters, and so thats why I am leaning towards the first week instead of waiting for after our trip.What would you do?  Also, we don't intend to follow any specific method... just going with the flow. We don't intend to stay home for 3 fulls day (we have taken her out diaper free before & she's peed on public potties).Thanks ladies!
