  • i m so  happy that so far this pregnancy is going good but im so bloated, im bloated everyday no matter what.
  • So far mines been really good!  I can't complain except for the slightly might be a big bigger if i look hard in the morning tummy changing to HOLY CRAP am I 8 weeks or 8 months!? by the evening.. love being bloated! First U/S on Tuesday can't wait!

  • I went to my Doctor and I am scheduled to have my first U/S next Friday at noon. The doctor wanted to wait until I reach week 9 because she says I should see a heartbeat and a little more detail on the baby. I'm nervous, anxious, and very excited. Yes like you, I'm very bloated and I look 8 months right now. LOL.
  • I had my first ob appt last Thursday and she said everything was great, but didn't do an ultrasound yet unfortunately. We'll get one at our next visit 10/03/11, which seems sooo far away! I've still got sore breasts and nausea, and today I've got lower back pain to add to my list of fun. I'm so over this first trimester LOL I wanna meet baby already!

  • I am so over this time too! Be careful what you wish for..i've had 4 ultrasounds in the last 4 weeks...my next one will be on the 10/05.  This one the dr promises will not be a vaginal ultrasound - yay for me :) The baby looked like a little blob with a flickering light, i'm ready for it to grow !
  • I've found that I've had to take Gas X twice a day most days. (Generic is simethicone.) My Doc says it's perfectly okay. I'm miserable otherwise! Totally understand :) I wish you well on this bloated journey. lol
  • I'm so glad to hear people say they feel like they look 8 months!!!  I was starting to think I had multiples in there!  Twins run in my husband's family and since I look like I am WELL beyond 8 weeks, I was in panic mode!!!  Still wish I had a little more time before I was showing but now I do have a reason to go shopping!!!

  • I'm so glad to hear that too! I'm gaining weight like crazy. I've been having to eat almost every hour so I don't get nauseous. I brought several maternity dresses and just bought a pair of pants. It's getting really hard to hide this from work!! People were talking when I was 6 weeks...I can only imagine what they are saying now. I can't wait for 12 weeks!
  • I know the feeling...  My sister kept telling me I was not telling the truth about my tummy being big already and when she saw me she said yeah you are showing.  I feel huge already and I haven't told some people at my church.  When they see me they are going to know.  I haven't been sick, I just have had a problem eating.  I'm hungry but no apetite.  I have already had an U/S and saw the heart beat.  Dr. says everything is fine with me and baby.  I can't wait for the 1st trimester to be over because all I want to do is sleep.
  • Yes I know the bloated feeling. Already purchased my first pair of maternity pants!! LOL Had my first U/S last week, was very excited to see baby's heartbeat. I'm also ready for this sick feeling to be gone. Only 4 more weeks of 1st trimester, cant wait for week 12/13 either. Congrats all you soon to be mommies!!
  • Hey Ladies!!! I am 8 weeks today and I am so happy! I have had two miscarriages previously so I am praying that the third time is a charm! I have already had 3 doctors appointments and have had two sonograms. Got to see and hear the baby's heart beating on my last appointment.. made my husband cry! I am so over this being tired and sick all the time but I have been lucky.. I've only upchucked ONCE!!! But the queasy feeling all the time and the hungry/sick feeling is getting annoying! LOL. But I embrace it because I know that in the end it will be so worth it to see my precious child's face! We are really hoping for a healthy bambino and I wish the same for all of you!!! Big Smile

  • Me too!  I always feel great in the morning and then by the evening I'm so uncomfortable due to the bloating!  But, I guess if that's the worst of it then I can handle it. :)  Congrats to you!
  • I had missed miscarriage on my 8 week pregnancy, I didn't bleed or anything. I found out when I when to my OBGYN doctor monthly visit on my 11 weeks.
  • My belly button has been quite sore lately, even sore to the touch. Anyone else out there with the same problem or know what's going on?

  • Hey All, super excited!!! First Ultra Sound tomorrow with my Husband!!! Wish us luck!! Good luck to all you future mommie to be out there!!! :-)

  • i know the feeling wishful thinking!! im am super freakin bloated and none of the books i read mentioned that! i feel like by belly looks like i ate a 4 course meal all the time! im glad there are others that feel like i do!?!?
    Happy Heather having a baby!!
  • Just FYI - your doctor can prescribe something for your nausea.  I highly recommend it as it has made my life sooooo much easier!  Still wish I could do something about being tired all the time though!

  • Is anyone else still struggling with eating because of so much nausea?  Even with zofran (which I would die without!) isn't making it much easier to eat. If my husband isn't around I just don't eat anything because everything sounds disgusting! I hope that is normal!  also.. Tonight I was at a family thing we were all out to dinner and I nearly passed out... I'm a little worried about it because I have never passed out before but you know how your ears start doing this weird thing and then you start to feel hot and kind of start blacking out? That happened to me and luckily I got to the bathroom and was able to breathe it away haha but I'm just a little worried as to why it happened.. Anyone have any advice? Anybody else pass out at all? Could I just be that tired?

  • I have been constantly naseous too.  It's so hard!  I did buy those Psi Bands and they help a little.  Things that I really used to like are gross to me now & I've become super duper picky!

I have felt lightheaded many times also, did you stand up or anything or were you just sitting there?  I try to get up slowly so I don't get the lack of blood rush & start seeing stars.  If you were just sitting there & this happened I would contact your doctor.

  • Hi all!  Had my eight week appointment this week.  Was disappointed, no ultra sound, no heart beat...It was just a check up.  They said they don't listen for a heart beat until week 12, they don't want people to worry if there isn't a heart beat.  I was thought there was going to be more.  So left feeling a little down.  The doc told me we should be able to hear it around week 10 after she examined me, but my husband wont be in town, and I want him to hear it for the first time with me.  So I guess it will have to wait for 4 more weeks. Grrr.
  • Hi! I am also in week 8 and have been feeling horrible. No energy, queasy 24/7, and crazy bloating.

I have my appt this Friday but my doctor doesn't do ultrasounds this early in. She laughed at me when I asked! This is our first pregnancy and I am so worried about everything, I just want to see the heartbeat to know everything is ok.

I am so happy to have found this site, it is so nice to see other women going through similar experiences. Very reassuring :) Thank you everyone for sharing.

  • So exhausted. 8 weeks 3 days today and I can't get enough of my bed! When I'm asleep I don't know I'm nauseous (which is like all the time now).

Just had my second ultrasound today and heard the heartbeat. Baby is checking it at 157bpm.

Anyone else out there having this tan colored discharge? (gross - I know - sorry!) I read that it's completely normal, but I'm still paranoid. This is my 3rd pregnancy (first two resuled in miscarriage).

    Hope everyone is doing well.

  • Does anyone else have crazy Prego headaches!! Just turned 8 weeks today, and they are out of control. But the good news is four more weeks to go until 2nd Trimester!
  • Hi,

I am 8 weeks today too and I have also been having crazy headaches. I have no idea why they have been so extreme.  I have asked my doc and she told that it can be from the nausea. She prescribed me nausea pills. Its been a bumpy ride so far... now I have a horrible cough...  Best of luck to you.

  • Hi ladies!

I am 8 weeks today! I was having really bad headaches as well but I started getting some extra rest and drinking a lot of water and that made all of the difference for me. I also cut out caffeine completely in the beginning, except for a little dark chocolate here and there. I have found that the drink packets esp the crystal light raspberry lemonade help with the nausea a ton and I can stomach it better than plain water. I just look for the low cal caffeine free ones and take them everywhere with me. I notice that if I don?t get exercise the headaches come back as well. Hope this helps you both!

  • I know this is a little late to answer this question and you may not have this issue anymore, but this is a classic sign of not eating. I am hypoglycemic and this happens to me when I go all day without eating. Now that I'm pregnant I feel this way if I go even a few hours without something. Try small snacks every hour even just crackers and some sort of caffiene free soda (sierra mist is my favorite since it has natural sweetners instead of all that fake stuff thats so bad for you!) like sprite or something will do your body some good. Definitely talk to the Dr. about this as well if the nausea meds aren't working.
  • Hi Ladies!!

I am also 8 weeks today!! yippee!! I am tired all the time, nauseous most the morning into the afternoon and then it starts back up again in the late evening. Thankfully I haven't lost my cookies yet, though I have come close a few times! Most foods don't sound appetising, but I have been able to handle oatmeal and fruit in the morning, and salads later in the day. Anything else is a bonus! I have gotten light headed a few times in the shower so I'm trying to eat a few crackers and drink more water before I go in, hoping that will help. I have had some crazy dreams lately and only just found out that it's normal due to hormones. Overall no complaints, but grateful to know my symptoms are normal, so helpful to read everyone's feedback. Good luck everyone! Wink

  • Does anyone else all of the sudden hate there husband?? I have a fantastic marriage but when I got pregnant with our fourth (which was a planned pregnancy) I all of the sudden didn't like my husband and lost all excitement for this pregnancy, at this point I don't even want to be pregnant! None of my other pregnancies were like this at all.... anybody else have the same feelings?
  • Hello ladies,

I am also 8 wks and couple days, and feeling beyond terrible.  unable to work, nauseous 24/7.  I am in Canada and our pregnancy approved anti nausea pill is Diclectin which somewhat helps with the nausea but not the vomiting.  it also knows me off my feet, I could spend the day in bed sleeping.  Eating and drinking is very very difficult.  Hope the baby is gonna be ok.  No food is appealing, I was planning on eating really healthy but the opposite is happening. Anyone else with the same issue?

  • I had my first appt. today and all seems well.  Was kinda bummed that my doc didn't do a u/s....so didn't hear a heartbeat or anything yet.  :(  it would have been nice.  but i guess i just have to have faith for now!  Had the worse night of sleep ever last night, I think it was anxiety waiting for the appt.  Hoping I find some energy somewhere because it's gonna be a busy weekend of holiday celebrations!  Have decided to tell my extended family tomorrow at the family christmas party!  SO excited to announce our news....hopefully no one hugs me TOO HARD!!!  hahaha!  :)  Peace, love and FAITH
  • I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow, and am pregnant with twins. Had first u/s at 6.5 weeks and saw the two gestational sacs and heartbeats. Next u/s is 8.5 weeks with RE, then first OB appt. will be at 10 weeks. We were TTC for 2 years and this was first IVF.

Is anyone else having stretching sensations in their abdomen? It's not cramping, it doesn't hurt, just feels different. Maybe just gas/bloating?

  • i just entered my 8th week! so far, everything has been going smoothly. im more tired and bloated, but nothing too big! i have been eating a few small meals throughout the day, drinking plenty of water, and doing a little 30 min. 1st trimester workout about 5 days a week and it seems to be workin for me! we had our first ob appt last week and they did an u/s - saw the little flickering heartbeat and everything! we are announcing to our parents this weekend for christmas with a framed picture of the little bean from our u/s. good luck week 8-ers!

  • I have been certainly feeling some changes going on in my tummy! Happy to know I'm not the only one - sometimes it's sudden, and sometimes it just feels like.. I am bloated lol. My pants don't fit nearly as well as they used to, hehehe! All I can describe it as is...it feels like my stomach is changing. I can't 'suck in' like I was able to before I was pregnant.
Congrats on expecting twins, that is so incredible! I am still awaiting the call from my GP to schedule an appointment with an OB and have an U/S. So incredibly excited!

  • Feeling extra nauseated & tired of the constant peeing. Im so happy my husband has been doing his part around the house because I'm extremely tired. I also got diagnosed with hypothyroidism on last week so these new meds are adding some symptoms also. Overall I'm happy. Ive had an ultrasound to pinpoint my due date & having another one later this week just to check on the baby due to my disease. I'm feeling pretty confident that everything is fine but this baby is giving me some uncomfortable days.

  • Hello everyone!!!  This is my eighth week of pregnancy and I am happy to report that I really don't have any symptoms.  As lucky as I feel, I sometimes wonder if that's a problem.  There are are few other people in the community that are pregnant as well and they are all complaining of nausea, backaches, tender breasts, etc.  DH and I have decided to try not to worry about the lack of symptoms until the doctor says that we should.  Is anyone else not having any pregnancy symptoms?
