I am still new to cloth diapering and any suggestions are appreciated.
We currently use BG 4.0 at night. When DD sleeps on her back we do not have any leaks. Lately she has been rolling onto her side at night and no matter now much I stuff the diapers still leak. Judging by where her onesie is wet I think it is leaking out the leg holes. I have the diapers set to the smallest size as she is only 11 lbs. Is there anything else I can do? Or any other diaper that works better?
TIA!
Re: Suggestions for a side sleeping baby
First, your daughter is adorable. I love her yellow shirt.
I had to switch to Ai2s and finally to fitteds + wool for nighttime when my guy started sleeping on his side. We haven't had a leak since. Leaks at night are such a b!tch, too. We invested in some quality fitteds and it's been totally worth it 100% to not have to change baby, sheets, and diaper.
Some suggestions in terms of fitteds:
sbish - Check it out here, twinkie tush (what we use at night), and bububebe here (b4) - what we use at night when our TTs are dirty. The prices are a bit daunting but they're so worth it.
Thanks for the suggestions! I just started looking into fitteds. Hopefully they will work. I'm so tired of the night time changes.
We were using prefolds with a cover but she is such a heavey wetter I felt bad that she was sleeping in the soaking diaper for so long (she sleeps 5-6 hr stretches).
We are using the soakers it came with snapped down to the smallest size. I have even tried adding the newborn soaker in there as well. But you are right she may just be too small for them.
I really hope they do work for you! I just love my fitteds/wool. Sbish is supposed to be amazing (mine are still OTW) but try to maybe find them in stock somewhere, because from the sloomb website it's all pre-order and the shipping dates are far into the future.
