Xp Ferber moms please help

We just did night 3 of Ferber and it was by far the worst. Night 1 we did intervals of 1, 3, 5 min. It took 30 min for her to fall asleep then she slept until 520 am. Night 2 we did 2,4,6 min. She fell asleep immediately and woke up twice during the night but was asleep after the 2 min interval. Last night we did 2,4,6 again. It took about 20 min to fall asleep. She slept until midnight then was up constantly. The rest of the night was filled with crying, constant rolling and squirming. She would fall asleep for 15 min at a time. The longest stretch was 1 hr. At 530 am she woke up so I got her up for the day. This morning she is dead exhausted and whiny. I feel horrible and sleep deprived. Im ready to give up but know I shouldn't. Any advice that u can give me? She has never slept so poorly. One question I have is when we go in there we only spend about 1 min. Bc she rolled so much she would get stuck against the side of the crib so we moved her to the middle. Is that a bad idea ? I'm looking for any insight. Thanks!

You have to let her roll and figure out how to get comfortable. That was the hardest part for us. I know its taboo but i have 2 rolled up towels against the back of the crib where she typically rolls and gets stuck or conks her head and they prevent her from going that far. We have an angelcare monitor that makes me feel better about all of it. I did the ferber but also let her CIO a little too, and it worked after 3 days. Then she got sick and was up every 2 hours for over a week. It was exhausting. Now I have to do it all over again because she's used to me coming in and soothing her and giving her a paci. Ugh. Maybe your LO is sick? Just stay strong.

You sound like you have been pretty successful so far. I started to ferber DD and it was a total disaster. She never went to sleep on her own and cried so hard. I am waiting until she is over 6 months to try again. GL!
